The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. This includes managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping personnel.
• Assign tasks to cleaning staff and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide training to new housekeeping staff and ongoing training for existing team members.
• Inspect rooms, common areas, and other spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards.
• Address and rectify any deficiencies in cleaning or maintenance.
• Maintain and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Place orders for supplies as needed and ensure proper storage.
• Create and manage work schedules for housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper cleaning during peak times.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining clean and comfortable accommodations.
• Enforce safety procedures and guidelines for housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain open and effective communication with other departments.
• Report any maintenance issues or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• Any bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor or team leader
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
