Accountant - Perfume Industry

Job Descriptions

We are looking for an Accountant for a reputed client in the Perfume Industry who will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
• Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis to facilitate decision-making by the management team.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of the company's budget, ensuring that expenses align with the approved financial plan.
• Oversee and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to inventory control procedures.
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, processing invoices, making payments, and following up on outstanding payments.
• Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Collaborate with the management team to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures.
• Coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely payment to employees while adhering to payroll tax regulations.
• Utilize accounting software and financial management tools effectively to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Accountant within the perfume industry.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance related to the perfume industry is a plus.
