Delivery & Logistics Supervisor - Perfume

Job Descriptions

We are looking for a Delivery & Logistics Delivery & Logistics Supervisor in a perfume factory with proven experience in logistics and delivery operations, preferably within the manufacturing perfumes and cosmetics industry.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee the overall delivery and logistics operations in the manufacturing perfumes and cosmetics factory.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies and plans to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers.
• Coordinate with internal departments, such as Procurement, inventory, sales and production to ensure smooth order processing and fulfilment.
• Schedule and assign delivery routes and shipments, considering factors such as product availability, customer location, and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
• Manage the performance of logistics service providers, including freight forwarders and transportation carriers, to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, delivery activities, and transportation costs, and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety guidelines throughout the logistics process.
• Optimize logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Train and supervise logistics staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Implement and enforce proper inventory management practices, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and stock accuracy.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage, handling, and loading/unloading of products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, suppliers, and customers to foster effective communication and partnership.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.

Requirements  

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics and delivery operations, preferably within the manufacturing perfumes and cosmetics industry.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles, practices, and regulations.
• Familiarity with local and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and systems for order tracking, inventory management, and route planning.
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address logistics challenges and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to transportation and warehousing.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record, if required for overseeing local deliveries.
• Preferred speaking English& Arabic.
